Orange Nude: S. Undressing 1961
By looking at multiple of Forges work you can see in many of the measurement lines, in the painting above you can see the measurement lines but they are not that clear and the brush marks stand out giving a sense of movement throughout the painting. Another of his paintings that I found quite interesting is his piece ‘ Self-portrait’ dated 1956 due to the way you look at the painting you can see the clear vertical and horizontal lines which make it clear in how he measured up his composition.
